Marianne Brandt created a revolutionary design in 1924: a cylindrical ashtray with an innovative flip mechanism.
The movable lid directs ash directly into the container and simultaneously acts as an odor barrier. This functional concept proved to be so well thought out that it became a model for numerous subsequent ashtray designs and has retained its elegance to this day.
