Made like the original
Since 1974, the brand "Original Bauhaus Modell" has been used to designate newly reissued Bauhaus designs.
Selected cooperation partners use the brand "Original Bauhaus Modell" for some of their products:
- Alessi manufactures several metal objects for table and kitchen as well as the silver service by Marianne Brandt.
- Bauhaus chess pieces, Bauhaus building blocks, and the optical color mixer are produced by Naef.
- At tecta in Lauenförde, furniture made of steel and wood by Marcel Breuer, Walter Gropius, and Peter Keler is created.
- The wallpaper factory Gebr. Rasch produces wallpapers based on a design by Walter Gropius.

The Bauhaus designs are partly handcrafted just like the original, such as the silver teapot by Marianne Brandt, which is still made today in a silversmith's workshop.
Other objects are realized with today's manufacturing methods, including the Bauhaus Ascher 1926. Designed at a time when Bauhaus students were dealing with forms for industrial production, the prototype was then handcrafted on a hydraulic press. Today, the Ascher is industrially produced using the thermoforming process.
