Designer: Peter Raacke, 1959

The cutlery from 1959 is designed to be manufactured cost-effectively and with minimal material use from standardized stainless steel sheet metal – the 'Monoblock'.

The revolutionary, rational production process is especially noteworthy for the knife, as the handle and blade were previously made from two separate pieces. Today, the knife in this series consists of two elements: the handle made of fine, stainless steel, and the blade made of hardened steel. This makes it dishwasher safe and equipped with a sharp blade, meeting today's standards. The flat, straightforward design with its elemental basic shapes is now considered a classic of table culture.

Peter Raacke significantly influenced the shaping of industrial design.
