Classic design, contemporary inner workings – thanks to the quartz movement, it does not need to be wound daily.
Max Bill designed the distinctively simple dial, unadorned and easy to read. His graphic design is characterized by clarity and well-balanced proportions. The unmistakably curved glass, which to this day can only be made from plastic, is relatively scratch-resistant.
Max Bill designed the watch in 1962 for the then common manual winding movement; for a long time, there were four models. Variations of the old design have been offered by the manufacturer for several years under the name "Max Bill by Junghans." The watch is now also available in several sizes with quartz movement, automatic movement, or as chronoscopes. Watch dials and straps are also varied in color.
Wristwatch, made in Germany by Junghans.
Founded in 1861 in Schramberg, in the central Black Forest in Baden-Württemberg, it quickly developed into one of the most fascinating success stories of the German watch industry. The demands on the watch may have changed since then – but Junghans' philosophy has always remained the same.
