Designer: max bill

Classic design, contemporary interior - thanks to the quartz movement, it does not need to be wound up every day. In 1962, Max Bill designed the wristwatch with the unmistakably curved glass that can only be made from plastic. The wristwatch with the emphatically simple dial is the classic among wristwatches. In 1956, Max Bill designed the oval kitchen clock with a short-term alarm made of ceramic for the Junghans company. His watch design is characterized by its clarity, good legibility and successful proportions. His skills as a graphic artist, sculptor and industrial designer have made the wristwatch a style icon.
This model with quartz movement is 4 mm larger in diameter than the original hand-wound design from 1962.
