25 maple wood cubes decorated with geometric shapes: each cube is painted red with a circle, a quarter-circle segment, triangle, rectangle, and square. Basic shapes combined form castles, a forest at night, flowers, or a locomotive. Ornabo plays the great game of abstraction with us. The individual basic shape stands without association in space – but their combined combinations make us believe the whole world consists only of circles, triangles, and rectangles, allowing a glimpse into the fundamental structures of the language of shapes. The 25 stackable maple cubes each have an edge length of 3.5 cm. Included are eight examples of abstract and nine examples of representational patterns. (OEM)
