Designer: Max Bill, 1962/97

Classic design, contemporary inner workings - thanks to the quartz movement, it does not need to be wound daily. In 1962, Max Bill designed the wristwatch with the unmistakably curved glass, which can only be made from plastic. The wristwatch with the deliberately simple dial is the classic among wristwatches. Already in 1956, Max Bill designed the oval kitchen clock with a short-time alarm made of ceramic for the company Junghans. His watch design is characterized by its clarity, good legibility, and well-balanced proportions. His skills as a graphic artist, sculptor, and industrial designer have made the wristwatch a style icon.
This model with quartz movement is 4 mm larger in diameter than the original design with manual winding from 1962.
