The bento is a meal arranged in a portable container with compartments. The "to go" lunch is a centuries-old tradition in Japan. In simple bamboo rolls or artfully lacquered wooden boxes, a filling meal can be taken to the fieldwork or office. Rice, salad, vegetables, meat, or fish are separated from each other by dividers.
These bento boxes made from recycled plastic are airtight thanks to the rubber band and a silicone seal, according to the Japanese manufacturer; however, they are not 100% suitable for liquids. The variably usable divider allows the interior to be divided into compartments of different sizes. The upper container can also be used separately.
The bento boxes from Japan are free of PBA and suitable for dishwasher and microwave.
