Designer: Poul Kjaerholm, 1963

In 1963, Poul Kjærholm designed the Fredericia Town Hall and created the impressive PK-600, a 250 kg shell made of black marble. Today, only ten pieces are produced each year according to the architect's original plans. In response to the great success of the PK-600, Kjærholm developed the PK shell so that everyone can enjoy this design piece in their home. The smooth inside and rough outside of the granite shell embody the exciting contrast between feminine and masculine elements.
