Designer: Carl Pott, 1952

the 'chancellor's cutlery' made in Germany

Representative, simple, and functional – quality from Solingen. Designed in the 1950s, this cutlery is elaborately produced: the pieces are still manufactured today in the 'City of Blades' factory, involving up to 90 different artisanal steps. Carl Hugo Pott, inspired by the design ideas of the Bauhaus and the Werkbund, designed the cutlery with its unmistakable, timeless lines. In the 1960s, the Chancellery and many German embassies were equipped with this cutlery series, thus earning it the nickname 'Chancellor's Cutlery'.
