"Best light dispersion", "very stable" and "simplest, pleasing form" are the arguments used to advertise the metal version of the Bauhaus lamp in the "catalogue of patterns". In the spring of 1924, series production began in the metal workshop, and by the autumn at least 80 examples had been completed. In the metal lamp, designed by Wilhelm Wagenfeld in early 1924, three small hemispheres support the base plate, and the cylindrical shaft is made of nickel-plated brass.

The Bauhaus lamp became an icon of design. Created in 1923/24 in the Bauhaus metal workshop, it shows the early Bauhaus program of industrial design. The lamp offered here is the only re-edition of one of the most famous designs of the Weimar Bauhaus authorized by Wilhelm Wagenfeld.
