The book is the first to introduce 45 Bauhaus women who are unjustly forgotten in most history books. It opens our eyes to how the Bauhaus attracted women from all over the world and became known worldwide through these cosmopolitan artists, designers and architects. The women in particular were also among the most successful students: some of them became masters and teachers at the Bauhaus and other institutions, others worked successfully as ceramicists, weavers, furniture designers or photographers.
