Bauhaus student Alma Siedhoff-Buscher was a pioneer in the field of toy design. From the room down to the smallest building block, "children should have a space in which they can be whatever they want, in which they rule. Every object in it belongs to them, their imagination shapes it, ... the form corresponds to its size, the practical purpose does not hinder the possibilities for play. – Light and bright colors enhance a cheerful, bright mood," as she described the approach in 1926. Her most famous design, the Bauhaus construction game from 1923, reveals much about this in the subtitle: "Construction game: a ship – which can also be a roller coaster, a gate, an animal, and much more." In 2019, for the great Bauhaus anniversary, the white reinterpretation was published in collaboration with the Bauhaus Archive Museum für Gestaltung.
