The 9090 espresso machine, designed by Richard Sapper in 1979, has lost none of its appeal to this day. The design is still unique: the handle connects the espresso container to the lower part, which contains the powder cartridge and the water tank. No screws are required: simply snap the handle, which is attached to the upper part with a hinge, into the water tank. A large base area ensures good heat absorption and stability. The stainless steel edge of the spout enables drip-free pouring. A visually unusual solution but appropriate to the material. The function is followed by the striking design language. The tapered cylinders follow their function of cooking and collecting. The stainless steel also gives the machine a sophisticated appearance. (OEM)
