Designer: sottsass associates
Loud, colorful, and cheerful, these small table sculptures come from Ettore Sottsass, a master of Italian design.
Cylinders, discs, spheres - stacked in contrasting colors, they become solid pepper mills. They are really just basic shapes with familiar mechanisms. But their arrangement and colors are provocative: their message seems to be, “Play with me.” Unusual and thought-provoking in the 1980s, they are classics once again today.
