Designer: ettore sottsass

The small table sculptures by the grandmaster of Italian design, Ettore Sottsass, are loud, colorful and cheerful. Cylinders, discs, spheres - stacked on top of each other in contrasting colors, they become solid pepper mills. They are actually just basic shapes with familiar mechanics. But the arrangement and coloring are challenging: 'play with me' seems to be their message. Unusual and thought-provoking in the 1980s, they are now classics again. The mill has a ceramic grinder.
