Hasami Porcelain™ plates and lids combine Japanese craft tradition with modern design.
The stackable plates, available in harmonious sizes and made of sand-colored pottery, offer versatile use as plates, lids, or coasters. They are complemented by ash wood lids that create a pleasing contrast of materials. Suitable for dishwasher and microwave use, the ceramic pieces are sturdy, while the wooden lids should only be wiped with a damp cloth. A functional, modular tableware system with a natural character and clear form language.
The plates can also be used as lids for the bowls or as coasters. All pieces have diameters of 8.5 cm, 14.5 cm, 22 cm, or 25.5 cm. The height is 2.1 cm.
Hasami Porcelain™ was designed in 2012 by Takuhiro Shinomoto, who comes from Japan and now lives in California.
