Designer: Poul Kjaerholm, 1963

sculptural design

In 1963, Poul Kjærholm designed Fredericia's town hall and created the PK-600, a large, 250 kg bowl made of black marble. Today, only 10 pieces are produced per year based on the architect's original drawings.
In response to the great success of the PK-600, Poul Kjærholm designed its successor, the PK Bowl, so that everyone could enjoy it as part of their own household. The smooth interior and rough exterior of the granite PK Bowl symbolize the contrast between feminine and masculine.

material: black granite
