Birillo Toothbrush Holder

Not round, not square — the cross-section of the “Birillo” family of bathroom accessories falls exactly between a square and a circle.

Milanese designer Piero Lissoni himself describes his design as “an imperfect square or a completely wrong circle.” The containers, made of glossy white plastic, bring an elegant sense of order to the bathroom — as a standalone piece or as a set, “Birillo” makes labels, brand names, and packaging from toiletries disappear. This creates not only order but also visual calm, even in small bathrooms.

Piero Lissoni is an architect, designer, and art director. In 1986, Piero Lissoni and Nicoletta Canesi founded Lissoni Associati in Milan, a studio for the design of architectural projects, interiors, and products. Graph.x, a group specializing in brand development and coordinated visual identities, was established in 1996, followed by Lissoni Architettura in 2013 and Lissoni Inc. in 2015, based in New York and focused on interior design in the United States, Canada, and Central and South America. In recognition of his internationally acclaimed work as an architect and designer, Lissoni has won several international awards, including the Good Design Award, the Red Dot Award, and the Compasso d'Oro ADI.
