Designer: Piero Lissoni

Neither round nor square — the cross-section of the bathroom accessories in the “Birillo” family is somewhere between a square and a circle.

Milanese designer Piero Lissoni himself describes his design as “an imperfect square or a completely wrong circle.” The glossy white plastic containers elegantly bring order to the bathroom — whether used individually or as a set, “Birillo” makes labels, brand names, and packaging from drugstore products disappear. This creates not only a sense of order but also visual calm, even in small bathrooms.

Piero Lissoni is an architect, designer, and art director. In 1986, Piero Lissoni and Nicoletta Canesi founded Lissoni Associati, a studio in Milan specializing in the planning of architectural projects, interiors, and design. Graph.x, a group specializing in the development of brands and coordinated visual identities, was established in 1996, followed by Lissoni Architettura in 2013 and Lissoni Inc. in 2015, based in New York and focused on interior design in the United States, Canada, and Central and South America. For his work as an architect and designer, recognized worldwide, Lissoni has won several international awards, including the Good Design Award, the Red Dot Award, and the Compasso d'Oro ADI.
