Loud, colorful, and cheerful are the small table sculptures by the master of Italian design Ettore Sottsass. Cylinders, discs, spheres – stacked in contrasting colors, they become solid pepper mills. Essentially, they are just basic shapes with familiar mechanics. But the arrangement and coloring challenge you: 'Play with Me' seems to be their message. Unusual and thought-provoking in the 1980s, they are now classics once again. The mill features a ceramic grinding mechanism. (oem)
