Designer: Peter Raacke, 1959

The cutlery from 1959 was designed to be manufactured cost-effectively and with minimal material from standardized stainless steel sheet—the “monobloc.”

The revolutionary production process is particularly noteworthy in the case of the knife, since the handle and blade were previously made from two pieces. Today, the knife is once again made up of two elements: a handle made of stainless steel and a blade made of hardened steel. This makes it dishwasher-safe, and its sharp blade meets modern requirements. Its flat, clean-lined design is now a classic of table culture.

Peter Raacke (* 27.09.1928 in Hanau; † 20.03.2022 in Berlin) had a significant influence on the design of industrial products.

Material: 18/10 stainless steel, brushed matte finish | Made in Germany: manufactured in Mettmann, North Rhine-Westphalia.
