Classic design, contemporary inner workings – thanks to the quartz movement, it does not need to be wound daily.
Max Bill designed the distinctly simple dial, plain and easy to read. His graphic design is characterized by clarity and well-balanced proportions. The unmistakably curved glass, which to this day can only be made from plastic, is relatively scratch-resistant.
Max Bill created the watch in 1962 for the then common hand-wound movement, and for a long time there were four models. Variations of the old design have been offered by the maker for several years under the name "Max Bill by Junghans." Now the watch is also available in several sizes with quartz movement, with automatic movement, or as chronoscopes. Likewise, dials and straps are varied in color.
Wristwatch, made in Germany by Junghans.
What began in 1861 in Schramberg, in the central Black Forest in Baden-Württemberg, with the founding of the company, quickly developed into one of the most fascinating success stories of the German watchmaking industry. The demands on the watch may have changed since then – the philosophy of Junghans has always remained the same.
