Storage Container Sottsass | Red-Pink-Yellow

Loud, colorful, and cheerful are the little table sculptures by Ettore Sottsass, the grand master of Italian design.

Cylinders, discs, spheres - stacked on top of each other in contrasting colors, they become sturdy pepper mills. In fact, they are just basic shapes with a familiar mechanism. But their arrangement and color scheme challenge us: their message seems to be, “Play with me.” Unusual and thought-provoking in the 1980s, they have become classics once again.
