Designer: Max Bill, 1962 / 1997

Classic design, contemporary mechanics - thanks to the quartz movement, it does not need to be wound every day.

Max Bill designed the strikingly simple dial, unadorned and easy to read. Its graphic design is characterized by clarity and well-balanced proportions. The unmistakably domed glass, which can still only be made from plastic, is relatively scratch-resistant.

Max Bill designed the watch in 1962 for the hand-wound movement that was customary at the time; for a long time, it was available in four models. For several years now, the manufacturer has offered variations on the original design under the name "Max Bill by Junghans". The watch is now also available in several sizes with a quartz movement, an automatic movement, or as a chronoscope. Dials and straps are also available in different colors.

Wristwatch, made in Germany by Junghans.

What began in 1861 in Schramberg, in the central Black Forest in Baden-Württemberg, with the founding of the company quickly developed into one of the most fascinating success stories in the German watch industry. The demands placed on watches may have changed since then - Junghans' philosophy has always remained the same.
