Not round, not square - exactly between a square and a circle is the cross-section of the bathroom utensils from the 'Birillo' family.
The Milanese Piero Lissoni himself describes his design as "an imperfect square or a completely wrong circle." The containers made of glossy white plastic bring order to the bathroom in an elegant way – whether alone or as a series, 'Birillo' makes labels, brand names, and packaging of drugstore items disappear. Even in small bathrooms, this creates not only order but also visual calm.
Piero Lissoni is an architect, designer, and art director. In 1986, Piero Lissoni and Nicoletta Canesi founded Lissoni Associati, a studio for planning architectural projects, interior fittings, and design, in Milan. In 1996, Graph.x was established, a group specializing in brand development and coordinated image, followed by Lissoni Architettura in 2013 and Lissoni Inc. in 2015, based in New York, for interior design in the USA, Canada, and Central and South America. For his globally recognized work as an architect and designer, Lissoni has won several international awards, including the Good Design Award, the Red Dot Award, and the Compasso d'Oro ADI.
