Designer: Max Bill 1956

In 1956, Max Bill designed two wall clocks for Junghans — still made in Germany today.

They embody Max Bill’s idea of creating useful objects with as much emphasis as possible on functionality. The dial features delicate lines, with the hour markers clearly dividing its face. A quick glance is all it takes.

The dial with numerals is divided by the hour numbers, which were also designed by Max Bill. None of it looks spectacular, nor is it meant to. The clocks’ understated graphic design seems to disappear into the wall with simple elegance. The wall clocks with numeral and line dials are available in diameters of 22 cm and 30 cm. (OEM)
