Classic design, contemporary interior - thanks to its quartz movement, it doesn’t need to be wound every day.;
Max Bill designed the strikingly simple dial, unadorned and easy to read. Its graphic design is distinguished by its clarity and well-balanced proportions. The unmistakably domed crystal, which can still only be made of plastic, is relatively scratch-resistant.
Max Bill designed the watch in 1962 for the hand-wound movement common at the time; for many years, it was available in four models. For several years, the manufacturer has offered variations on the original design under the name “Max Bill by Junghans.” The watch is now also available in several sizes with a quartz movement, an automatic movement, or as a chronoscope. Dials and straps also come in a range of colors.
Wristwatch, made in Germany by Junghans.
What began in 1861 with the founding of the company in Schramberg, in the central Black Forest region of Baden-Württemberg, quickly developed into one of the most fascinating success stories in the German watch industry. The demands placed on watches may have changed since then - Junghans’ philosophy has always remained the same.
