Designer: enzo mari

The Arran tray, designed by Enzo Mari in 1961 for Danese in Milan, follows an industrial design precursor by the same author: the

Putrella centerpiece (1957). This tray is one of the outstanding designs of this era and was re-produced by Alessi in 1997—an excellent testament to a halcyon phase of Italian design. Arran is available from us in two new iridescent versions in shades of green and purple. These colors and the time through which Arran passes bear a subtle analogy: viewed from different angles, the color constantly changes, in an elusive movement of nuances and reflections.
