Salt, pepper, and spice grinder made of sandblasted and anodized aluminum — ceramic grinding mechanism with adjustable grind size, suitable for salt, pepper, and spices.
The material is shaped through successive milling processes, resulting in exceptionally crisp, well-defined edges. This high-precision treatment, which gives the surface its clear, faceted structure, is paired with a deliberately industrial color palette. Available in red, black, and aluminum, with a sandblasted and anodized finish, the object responds to light with an almost lifelike presence and creates a powerful sense of depth.
KG01 stands tall as a confident column. Its cylindrical body is precisely designed for secure two-handed operation. The transition from the circular cross-section of the upper section to an octagonal profile makes the turning motion visible and immediately intuitive. This object brings function and design intent into focus. It is both a tool and a gesture.”

His design approach — which prioritizes usability and functionality — is a perfect fit for the Bauhaus philosophy. The structural clarity of his products and their rigorous construction embody the movement’s historic values and make his designs indispensable pieces in our range.
KG01 is made of aluminum and available in various colors. The grinding mechanism is ceramic.
Height: 21.7 cm | Ø: 4.9 cm.
When filling, make sure the mill is facing downward.
Remove the top, which is attached to the body by pressure. Pull firmly to do so.
Fill with peppercorns, coarse salt, or spices through the designated slot.
Press the top back onto the inner rod with appropriate pressure. To grind, turn the top clockwise.
To set the desired grind size, adjust the grinding mechanism by turning the wings counterclockwise for a coarser grind and clockwise for a finer grind, as indicated by the arrow.
The poetry of precision. KG01 is much more than a high-performance mill. As a design object, it brings a distinctive presence to the kitchen and showcases the beauty of industrial materials in their clearest and most expressive form.
Surfaces with a tactile quality. Sandblasting followed by anodizing gives the metal surface a delicate, tactile presence: the object loses all industrial coldness and offers a firm, comfortable grip that accompanies the mechanical turning with a wonderful tactile sensation.
Like a king on a chessboard
Mills remain on display - on the countertop or on the set table. They therefore need a strong, distinctive design presence. KG01 commands the space with its upright, sculptural form and retains its signature appeal even when at rest.
Considered use of color.
Alongside the natural look of aluminum, the two color options have a depth of their own, enhanced by the sandblasted and anodized surface. The red has a subtle yellowish hue, while the black reveals a subtle greenish depth that varies with the light.
Precision industrial manufacturing. A highly precise production process, in which each piece is made individually, enables exceptional accuracy of form and a level of detail reminiscent of
